Landskapet är och har alltid varit i ständig förändring. Förändringar och byggnadsprojekt som ändrar landskapet är dock något som kan ge upphov till upprördhet och skapa konflikter mellan planerare och de som berörs av de planerade projekten. Som blivande landskapsarkitekt har jag intresserat mig för hur kan man förklara uppkomsten av negativa attityder till landskapliga förändringar, samt hur denna skepticism ter sig vid vindkraftsplanering. Med en litteraturstudie som metod studerar jag inledningsvis begreppet landskap och förklaringar till vad landskapsförändringar innebär för människan. Den andra delen i uppsatsen beskriver begreppen Nimby- Not In My Back Yard och Socialt dilemma för att se hur de förklarar negativa attityder till landskapliga förändringar. För att exemplifiera framställer jag i nästa del motstånd och misstro till vindkraftsplanering.

A dilemma often met by entrepreneurs is whether or not to share information about their business ideas in order to increase the probability for success. The reason for sharing information is presumed to be an increased ability to develop the business idea, whereas the reason for maintaining secrecy would be to protect the idea from being stolen. Common as this dilemma is in practice, it is not very well covered in the entrepreneurial theories. The purpose of this thesis is to elaborate the theories in this subject by investigating an entrepreneurial case. The case shows that one possible solution to the dilemma is a situation-based information sharing.

In the world after the Cold War, internal and ethnic conflicts have been predominant. Ethnic conflicts have their own theories on why they erupt and what can be done to solve them. This essay seeks to analyze how the Ethnic Security Dilemma can explain the causes, and possible solutions, of today´s armed ethnic conflicts.By making an ideal types typology over different types of ethnic conflicts, and then analyzing the Ethnic Security Dilemma´s impact on each conflict type.

This paper examines a long run macroeconomic dilemma. This dilemma states that given a real appreciation, i.e. a continuous increase in the real exchange rate, an economy has two options open with respect to inflation and nominal exchange rate. Either the economy chooses a fixed exchange rate- regime but has to allow for a rising inflation. Or the economy can choose an inflation targeting- regime, but then has to allow for an appreciating nominal exchange rate.

Background   The patient's rights to self-determine their own health care is described in Swedish legislation and guidelines. However, due to infancy, unconsciousness, severe brain damage or certain diseases, some patients might be unable to make such decisions. Ethically difficult situations do occur, not infrequently associated with culture. Since the patient is vulnerable, there is a risk that the patient in the treatment and care can not be bothered to maintain right to autonomy and that the nurse violates patient integrity.Aim                 The aim of this study was to illustrate the nurse's dilemma when the patient refuses vital caring efforts.Method           A literature review of eight scientific articles with a qualitative approach was performed.Results           The results revealed the following domains to describe the nurse's dilemma when the patient refuses vital care interventions: patients? reasons for treatment refusal, the nurse's understanding of the patient's refusal of care and contradictory legislationConclusion     More knowledge and discussion of the patient's decision-making competence is needed for both the nursing profession and those who make decisions on legislation..

Youth centres- A qualitative study of how midwives relate to the potential ethical dilemma between youths right to integrity and parents right to informationThe aim of this study was to investigate how midwives at youth centres relate to the potential ethical dilemma between parents? right to information that young people between 15-17 years share at the centre, vs. youths right to integrity. The study was based on qualitative interviews with six midwives in various youth centres in Stockholm County. We analysed our empirical material according to Blennbergers consequential ethical model and Bronfenbrenners ecological system model.

The traditional lawn is believed to be facing a dilemma. On one hand, it is valuable for people because of its esthetical and functional values. On the other hand, the lawn is perceived as a monoculture without biological diversity that hinders the domestic landscape?s flora and fauna. In this graduation-thesis, the private and public lawn?s dilemma of ?to be or not to be?, is examined from these two different perspectives.

This essay contains two stories that reflect the reality I face as an educator, as well as a reflective discussion about my self-perceived dilemma. The dilemma reflects a classroom situation where I as an educator have trouble dividing my focus, my focus is either put on entire the class or on the child with special needs. Through this self-perceived situation I have started to question how children with special needs find their place in the school today. Uppsatsens syfte har varit att konkretisera vad en socialt hållbar utveckling skulle kunna betyda för det sociala arbetets vardag. Vilken plats socialarbetarna har att fylla och vilken typ av praktik som skulle utformas om syftet var att främja en socialt hållbar utveckling. För att bryta ner syftet med uppsatsen i mer lätthanterliga bitar har jag formulerat ett antal frågeställningar; -Vad betyder begreppet socialt hållbar utveckling? -Vilken roll skulle det sociala arbetet kunna ha i en socialt hållbar utveckling?-Vilka kompetenser och konkreta handlingar behövs hos den enskilda socialarbetaren för att socialt arbete ska vara del i en socialt hållbar utveckling?.

Idag spenderar ungdomar en stor del av sin fritid på den ?nya? scenen internet. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka internet som möjlig arena för socialt ungdomsarbete. Utifrån ungdomars perspektiv belyses faktorer som är möjliggörande respektive hindrande för ett sådant arbete. Frågeställningar:? Vilken betydelse har internet för ungdomars dagliga interaktion?? Hur ser behovet ut av socialt ungdomsarbete på internet?? Hur kan en relation till en socialarbetare skapas och fungera på internet?Tre fokusgruppsintervjuer har genomförts via MSN Messenger, där sammanlagt 12 ungdomar besvarade och diskuterade de aktuella frågorna.

Revisorn står inför ett fundamentalt dilemma, där oberoende måste prioriteras under revisionen samtidigt som konsulttjänster utgör en viktig inkomstkälla och kräver en god relation till klienten. Detta dilemma kan vara extra problematiskt i små bolag eftersom risken för socialt beroende antas vara större när färre individer är involverade. Syftet med studien är att skapa förståelse för hur revisorer resonerar kring gränsen mellan rådgivning och revision i små bolag. För att uppnå syftet med studien har sju revisorer intervjuats och materialet har studerats utifrån social identitetsteori. Resultaten indikerar att revisorer för små bolag har stark identifikation med klienten, vilket kan göra att deras oberoende riskerar att nedprioriteras till förmån för klientens behov.

Detta arbete utgår från en kvalitativ textanalys av lärarhandledningar och andra texter från museilektioner.se. Mitt syfte är att försöka se vilka strategier som finns för att legitimera den institutionsförlagda kulturpedagogiken i skolan, vilka argument som återfinns för ett sådant arbete och därmed hur kulturen positionerar sig gentemot skolan. I de handledningar jag undersöker gör jag ett försök att se hur eleven är tänkt att agera, vilken roll denne tillskrivs och därmed hur kulturen förhåller sig till den enskilde eleven. Konst och kulturpedagogik står traditionellt inför ett dilemma där pedagogen väger en sträng förmedling av föremål och konst mot en öppen reception där mottagaren lämnas fri att se vad denne vill. Genom att undersöka vem som har makt över situationen och hur besökarnas erfarenhet hanteras kan jag närma mig en förståelse för hur ovanstående dilemma hanteras i handledningarna. Min analys visar att institutionens funktion som kulturbärare eller kulturskapare har inverkan på hur pedagogiken utformas och därmed hur receptionen blir behäftad med olika ramar..
